Gift Giving, Safe Toys, and the Eye
Along with Holidays comes the excitement of gift giving and seeing the happy glowing faces of our children. Often time’s people are so excited to purchase a gift for a youngster, they cannot see the danger the toy actually presents. Many shoppers when looking for gifts look at the picture on the box, not the small print. Found on The 10 Most Dangerous Toys List (https://www.yahoo.com/health/the-10-most-dangerous-toys-in-america-103130991072.html), are only some of toys presenting dangers to our children and youth.
During a quick interview with doctors Farhad Shokoohi, MD and Kamran Shokoohi, MD regarding dangerous toys and eye care, they both concurred, toys with flying objects represent the most frequent danger to the eyes. Safety glasses and adult supervision are a necessity, stated Dr. Kamran Shokoohi.
Always remember the excitement of children during the holidays and keep running through the house down. Children running through the house can also severely injure their eyes with door knobs, pencils, forks, and many other objects when running.
Keep your children safe and their vision intact, this and every holiday season.
